  • Arts In-Access, a 12 month R&D project funded by Arts Council England was launched at the Lowry in November 2025 at our fully booked ‘Everybody, Everywhere’ event.

  • Breaking Barriers concluded their 2-year GM Arts commission with Salford Community Leisure & Salford Council, What About Me? with an immersive installation co-created with Young People, which opened to the public in October 2025.

  • Oldham Council joined partners in Barcelona to tour the GM Arts commissioned ‘Queen Bee’ outdoor arts production to La Merce Festival 2025.

  • Stockport Council & Future Everything announced Maya Chowdry as their new artist commission, supported by GM Arts.

  • Artist Sarah Hardacre is working in Tameside on a participatory commission focused on local dance heritage this Spring 2026.

GM Arts is a consortium of the ten districts of Greater Manchester who collaborate on a mission to increase creative opportunities for our communities. We were established over 20 years ago, but our vision for creativity and culture is bold and fresh.
